ISLAMABAD:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon on Tuesday withdrew the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) order issued against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
The DC apprised Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri of the Islamabad High Court that the MPO order issued against PTI President Pervaiz Elahi had been withdrawn.
Thereafter, the court quashed the petition filed by Elahi to remove MPO against him.
It may be mentioned that the court had ordered to release of Elahi by suspending MPO and summoned DC Islamabad and Pervaiz Elahi in a personal capacity.
However, Elahi could not appear before court as he was in jail.
