Sukkur: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khairpur, Altaf Ahmed Chachar, chaired the day 3 review meeting of the ongoing Polio Sub-National Immunization Days (SNID) campaign on Thursday.
The meeting reviewed the Day-3 vaccination coverage with a detailed discussion on coverage gaps and missed children.
The meeting was attended by ADC-I Riaz Ahmed Sheikh, DHO Khairpur Dr. Kaleemullah Sheikh, all Assistant Commissioners, District Managers PPHI, ADHO Preventive, DEOC Core Team, TFPs, DDHO RMNCH, DDHO Nutrition, DSO EPI, SIAs Focal Person, DFP EPI, representatives of law enforcement agencies, DSC and other officials.
Key field level issues and operational challenges encountered during the SNID activities were discussed in detail. Participants shared recommendations and corrective measures to address the identified gaps.
The meeting also discussed the required administrative, technical and field-level support to ensure smooth implementation of the campaign.
The way forward and priority actions were agreed upon, with special emphasis on catch-up activities, closing coverage gaps and ensuring maximum coverage of eligible children.
Deputy Commissioner advised all concerned teams to maintain close coordination and ensure timely implementation of the agreed action points.
