Dera ismail khan:The Food Department has intensified monitoring activities in Dera Ismail Khan to ensure the quality of PASSCO wheat, availability of essential food commodities and compliance with notified prices.
The District Food Controller, Dera Ismail Khan Azam Khan , accompanied by the Deputy Director, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority, visited the Provincial Reserve Centre (PRC), where samples of PASSCO wheat received at the centre were collected according to the prescribed procedure and sent to the Provincial Food Testing Laboratory and Centre for Research, Peshawar, for quality analysis.
Meanwhile, Foodgrain Inspector Sajid Khan, Assistant Food Controller (Headquarters) Khaliq Ur Rehman and Assistant Food Controller Maheen Shahid conducted market inspections, including visits to government atta sale points, to monitor prices, availability and compliance with official rates.
The Food Department officials said the inspection activities would continue to ensure quality food commodities and implementation of notified prices in the district.
