Kohat: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat chaired a meeting of the District Steering Committee of the Education Department (Education Monitoring Authority) to review the performance of the education sector and assess progress on key indicators across the district.
During the meeting, the DMO Education briefed participants on the department’s performance, highlighting monitoring outcomes and the status of educational institutions in the district.
The DC conducted a detailed review of the performance of education officials and issued directives regarding the provision of essential facilities in schools.
He emphasized the need to improve the quality of education and ensure the availability of basic amenities for students and staff.
The DC directed District Education Officers (Male and Female) to take effective measures for enhancing educational standards and addressing shortcomings in school infrastructure. He stressed the importance of adopting modern teaching methods in line with contemporary educational requirements to better prepare students for future challenges.
He also instructed the relevant authorities to resolve issues related to the deployment of administrative staff, provision of electricity and clean drinking water, repair and maintenance of school buildings, and construction and restoration of boundary walls where required.
The deputy commissioner underscored the importance of coordinated efforts to create a conducive learning environment and improve educational outcomes across the district.
