Sargodha:Deputy Commissioner(DC) and Administrator Municipal Corporation Sargodha,Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Wednesday directed authorities to take effective measures for improving street lighting across the city,expedite action against illegal constructions and ensure the prompt redressal of public complaints.
The directions were issued while he chaired a high-level meeting during his visit to the Municipal Corporation office to review administrative and development affairs.
The meeting was attended by Chief Officer Municipal Corporation,Ahmed Bilal Makhdoom and other relevant departmental officers.
During the session,the DC ordered the proper numbering of all blocks and streets within the Municipal Corporation limits,the installation of prominent Panaflex boards on under-construction buildings that possess approved maps, and the identification of a suitable site for establishing a new food street.
Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry instructed officials to prepare a priority plan for street light installation based on a comprehensive survey of all city areas.
He called for indiscriminate action against illegal constructions and ordered improvements in the revenue recovery of the Building Branch.
Furthermore,he emphasized the swift resolution of citizen complaints and priority disposal of applications received on the EBS portal.
Reviewing ongoing development projects, including patch-work initiatives, the DC stressed their timely completion. He also sought feasibility proposals for constructing a sports arena at the Istiqlalabad Ground,establishing a food street and developing shops at various locations.
Later,the DC Hussain and Administrator inspected Jinnah Hall and the Corporation Library.
He directed authorities to formulate a comprehensive restoration plan for Jinnah Hall and ensure the early completion of ongoing renovation work at the library.
