DC sets July 15 deadline for Mansoorabad market beautification

Faisalabad: Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nauman Siddique set July 15 as the deadline for completing the beautification of the 66-Futta Bazaar in Mansoorabad and directed the departments concerned to expedite the remaining development work. Chairing a meeting on the city’s beautification projects here on Tuesday, he directed all relevant departments to complete the remaining construction work on war-footing to ensure timely completion of Mansoorabad project.

He also decided to personally visit the site to review the pace and quality of ongoing development work. He directed that beautification work in Jhang Bazaar and Aminpur Bazaar be launched in the next phase after completion of the Mansoorabad project. He instructed Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to lay sewerage lines in the project area without any delay. He also directed Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) to shift overhead electricity cables underground to improve the urban landscape and public safety. The meeting was informed that the district administration had already completed beautification projects at Katchery Bazaar Clock Tower, Mochi Bazaar Chak Jhumra and Main Bazaar in Dijkot as part of its efforts to enhance commercial centers of the city.
