Islamabad: Federal Minister for Power Sardar Owais Ahmad Khan Leghari has said the defence agreement between Pakistan, Trkiye and Saudi Arabia is a matter of honour and pride for Pakistan and a significant development for regional security.
In a special conversation on the agreement, the minister said the coming together of the three important regional countries, possessing substantial economic resources and military capabilities and determined to protect themselves, would strengthen peace and deterrence in the region.
He said the agreement reflected a shared commitment by the three countries to cooperate for peaceful purposes, prevent aggression and protect one another, as well as the people of Pakistan, Trkiye and Saudi Arabia.
Owais Leghari said the agreement would also contribute to the protection of the holy mosques in Saudi Arabia, adding that the cooperation among the three countries would effectively create a ‘steel wall’ capable of confronting any aggression against them.
He said after the agreement, no one would dare to launch aggression against any of the three countries.
The federal minister congratulated the people of Pakistan, Trkiye and Saudi Arabia on the agreement, describing it as an important step towards strengthening their collective security and deterrence.
