DERA ISMAIL KHAN:In preparation for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, the traffic police have made a special traffic plan to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety across the district.
Following the directives of District Police Officer Nasir Mehmood, DSP Traffic Syed Sagheer Abbas Gilani and Traffic Incharge Asif Lashari have prepared a special traffic strategy to maintain order and security on the roads during the celebrations on August 14.
As the river bank was the main recreational spot to attract the visitors from within and outside the city, the traffic mess on the roads approaching to this site could be witnessed on special days like Eids and Independence Day. That was why the police prepared plan to divert traffic or to restrict it to obey one-way rule in certain routes.
As per the plan, the entry towards river road will be completely closed from the blockade created at Meteorological Morr on Independence Day and the citizens will use Mufti Mehmood Eye hospital road to reach Indus River, D
happan-wala bund and Bhakkar road.
Similarly, the entry of traffic from Dhappan-wala bund, Bhakkar road would be closed and the citizens coming from Bhakkar side would use Qureshi-Morr for entering the city. Besides, all the link routes approaching to Dhappan-wala bund including Shah-Alamabad Petrol Pump Street would also be closed for all vehicles however, the motorcycles would be allowed to use this way.
