DERA ISMAIL KHAN:Dera Police have chalked out a plan to provide security for Eid Milad-un- Nabi (SAW) which is being observed on Friday (tomorrow).
The police have devised a foolproof security plan on the eve of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), District Police Officer Dera Abdul Rauf Babar Qaisrani said.
Under the security plan, around 1300 police officers and jawans will perform their duties for the security of 47 processions across the district.
The district has been divided into 06 sectors, DSP will be Sector Commanders in each sector while 02 DSPs will perform their duties as Sector Commanders in the City Sector, SP City Circles and SP Sadar Circles will supervise the main processions. DPO Dera will also personally supervise all the processions, a police spokesman said.
Police would utilize all available resources to provide foolproof security to the processions on 12 Rabi ul Awal, DPO said.
The routes of the main procession would be checked with the help of the bomb disposal squad to avert any untoward incident, he said.
