Sialkot: Director General (DG) “Suthra Punjab” Authority Umer Javed visited Sialkot and reviewed sanitation arrangements at Pakki Kotli and Gohadpur Chowk. Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Awais Mushtaq and Assistant Commissioner Safdar Shabbir accompanied him.
During the visit, the DG inspected sanitation operations at various locations and interacted with citizens to seek their feedback on cleanliness arrangements. He was also briefed on the ongoing waste management operation, sanitation measures and efforts to eliminate permanent waste points in the city.
Umer Javed termed the “Suthra Punjab” operation being carried out under the supervision of the district administration at Paki Kotli impressive. He appreciated Deputy Commissioner Owais Mushtaq for personally monitoring sanitation operations until late at night.
The DG emphasized that public cooperation was essential for effective waste management, saying that “Suthra Punjab” was not merely a cleanliness project but a mission in which citizens had a fundamental role to play.
Deputy Commissioner Awais Mushtaq said that comprehensive measures were being taken to improve sanitation arrangements across the district. He added that officers and relevant staff were actively working in the field, while all available resources were being utilized to eliminate permanent waste points and ensure effective cleanliness in the city.
The DG Suthra Punjab Authority appreciated the monitoring of sanitation operations, the presence of officers in the field and prompt action on citizens’ complaints.
