Lahore: DIG Operations Lahore, Faisal Kamran, visited the Saddar Division and presided over a key meeting regarding crime prevention. The meeting was attended by the SSP Operations, SP Saddar, circle officers, and SHOs. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran directed officers to effectively curb incidents of theft, including mobile phone theft. He noted that beggars and drug-addicted criminal elements contribute to theft-related incidents and instructed that a close watch be kept on their activities. Faisal Kamran directed the SHO Raiwind to control crimes, while instructing the SHOs of Sattokatla and Chung to take effective measures to prevent fraud and snatching incidents. He also ordered the SHO Nawab Town to resolve pending cases as quickly as possible. Furthermore, the DIG Operations directed that operations to halt the supply of narcotics, particularly ‘Ice’ (crystal meth) and alcohol-be made more effective, and emphasized the need to tighten the net around proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals.
