Lahore: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Operations visited various churches across the city on Sunday to review security arrangements ahead of upcoming prayer services.
According to a spokesperson, during his visit, the DIG Operations inspected security measures at the Catholic Church on Mall Road, the Church of Pakistan (Diocese of Nila Gumbad), and the church located in Anarkali.
He met with church administrators to discuss security protocols and issued instructions to the police personnel deployed on duty.
He emphasized the need for effective patrolling and the establishment of checkpoints around places of worship, directing officers to intensify monitoring and screening at all entry and exit points.
The DIG Operations stated that foolproof security arrangements were being ensured for all prayer services and that the police remained constantly vigilant to maintain law and order across the provincial metropolis.
