Lahore: The ninth research paper on the Naatia poetry of renowned Naat poet and Presidential Award recipient Lala Sahrai has been completed, marking another contribution to scholarly research on his literary work.
Under the supervision of Dr Muhammad Attaullah, Head of the Department of Urdu, Lahore Leads University, PhD scholar Zakaullah completed his doctoral research on the Naatia poetry of Lala Sahrai.
The research thesis, titled ‘A Technical and Thematic Study of Lala Sahrai’s Naatia Poetry,’ examines the technical and thematic aspects of the poet’s Naatia works.
It is pertinent to mention that eight MPhil-level research papers on the Naatia poetry and literary services of Lala Sahrai have already been completed at various universities across Pakistan.
The Lala Sahrai Foundation appreciated the scholarly work being conducted on the poet’s Naatia poetry and expressed gratitude to researchers and others contributing to and supporting research on his literary legacy.
