Dera ismail khan : On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, an anti-encroachment operation was carried out in various parts of the city here Saturday under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Dera, Syed Muhammad Arsalan.
The operation was conducted in Islamia Colony and along the Eastern Circular Road, from Fawara Chowk to GPO Chowk. During the drive, illegal encroachments established within the road right-of-way were removed to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate public movement.
Officials including the DSP Traffic, Tehsildar Dera, Revenue staff, TMA staff, police and traffic police were present on the occasion to assist in the operation.
Encroachments removed during the campaign included unauthorized speed breakers, sheds, stands, stairs, ramps and other obstructions. The removal of these structures helped restore the carriageway and significantly improved traffic movement in the affected areas.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to continue anti-encroachment operations across the city to ensure unobstructed roads and public convenience.
