Multan: The district administration intensified its crackdown against illegal encroachments and sealed more than 10 restaurants and shops during an operation in the Gulgasht area. Assistant Commissioner City Mukarram Sultan led the action against commercial establishments found involved in establishing illegal encroachments. The legal proceedings were launched against sealed premises which causing encroachment.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Faisal Saleem said the crackdown would continue without discrimination to eliminate encroachments from the city and ensure smooth movement and convenience for citizens.
He urged the business community to voluntarily remove illegal encroachments and cooperate with the administration in restoring public infrastructure.
The deputy commissioner said that the legal action would be taken against those creating illegal encroachments outside the business centres as per rules.
