PML-N led new AJK govt focusing on public welfare, quality education: AJK Minister

Mirpur (ajk): Azad Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Engineer Umair Naeem Khan has said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has adopted a clear agenda focused on public welfare, improved services and the prosperity of the state.



Talking to various public delegations here on Wednesday, he said the government was taking practical measures to address public needs and had directed relevant departments to ensure quality, transparency and timely implementation of public projects.



He said priority was being given to essential sectors, including roads, healthcare, infrastructure and other public facilities, with the objective of improving services and making people’s daily lives easier.



The minister said the government was committed to translating its promises into practical measures and ensuring that public interest remained central to policymaking and implementation. He added that the experience of development initiatives in Punjab would also provide useful lessons for improving public services in Azad Kashmir.



He said education remained one of the government’s key priorities. Steps were being taken to improve facilities in educational institutions, enhance the quality of education and provide students with a learning environment aligned with modern requirements.



He said the government wanted every child in Azad Kashmir to have equal access to quality education, adding that its performance would ultimately be reflected through improved public services and tangible results on the ground.
