District Enforcement and Regulatory Board reviews enforcement measures

Sargodha: Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Ahmad Mughis chaired the first introductory meeting of the District Enforcement and Regulatory Board, reviewing the mandate of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) and various enforcement-related matters on Tuesday.



Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Chaudhry Akmal, Assistant Commissioner Sargodha Ahmad Sher Gondal, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Ahmad Bilal Makhdoom, Secretary Regional Transport Authority Malik Tahir, PERA Sub-Divisional Officer Zafar Abbas, representatives of the Public Prosecutor and District Attorney, and assistant commissioners of other tehsils participated in the meeting through video link.



The meeting was briefed that the District Enforcement and Regulatory Board would monitor PERA activities, ensure effective implementation of laws, oversee enforcement stations and supervise regulatory matters, including price control and action against encroachments and illegal hoardings.



The meeting also reviewed arrangements for the physical test for recruitment of PERA sergeants. It was informed that the physical test would be held on October 12 and 13, with a total of 2,381 candidates, including 635 women, participating.



Around 1,000 candidates would appear in the physical test on the first day, while the remaining candidates would take the test on the second day.



Ahmad Mughis directed the concerned departments to complete all necessary arrangements for the physical test within the stipulated time and ensure a transparent and well-organized environment for the candidates.



He also directed all relevant institutions to perform their responsibilities effectively through close coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the physical test.
