Shangla:District Police Officer (DPO) Shangla Ikram Ullah has said that role of young generation is extremely important for sustainable peace, national unity and countering extremism and negative propaganda.
He expressed these views while addressing an seminar organized on Wednesday at University of Shangla regarding promotion of peace, security and national unity. The event was also addressed by Deputy Commissioner Shangla Muhammad Abdullah Shah and Vice Chancellor University of Shangla Dr Professor Sardar Khan.
Addressing seminar, DPO Shangla said that peace and security is basic need for development and prosperity of any society and to ensure peaceful and stable society.
He said that youth are future of country and they should utilize their abilities for positive and constructive activities and to play role for promotion of tolerance, mutual respect and national unity in society.
He urged students to show extreme caution and responsibility in use of social media and avoid forwarding unverified news, rumor or misleading material.
