KHAR::District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur Abdul Samad Khan here on Saturday presided over a crime review meeting and directed staff for tightening the noose around drug suppliers.
The meeting was held on the directives of DIG Malakand Zeeshan Asghar that was attended by all the DSPs, and SHOs. He also handed over history sheets of different proclaimed offenders to SHOs concerned and directed them for early arrest of persons who were wanted to police, as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the teams of the district administration led by Additional Assistant Commissioner Khar-I, Sher Rehman inspected different local markets and checked the rates of edible items. The identity cards of eight shopkeepers were taken into custody after finding them guilty of overcharging.
The team also checked fare rates from different passenger vehicles and directed drivers to ensure implementation over the fare list fixed by the government.
