SHANGLA:Like other districts of province, District Police Officer Ikramullah has dissolved all Dispute Resolution Councils (DRCs) established at level of all police stations across Shangla.
According to order issued here, all members of relevant councils have been instructed to immediately leave their responsibilities. Work will be done from platform of DRC till further orders.
Dispute Resolution Councils have been established for resolution of disputes at local level, reconciliation between parties and removal of differences through mutual dialogue.
Sources said that decision to dissolve DRCs has been taken across province as part of restructuring and review of community policing system. Police high-ups want to review performance of DRCs and introduce new system for better dispute resolution.
