PATTOKI: Deputy Drug Controller Bilal Yaseen sealed an unlicensed medical store and fined two others during inspections across Pattoki tehsil on Friday.
The action also covered newly established medical stores. The two outlets were fined over the absence of purchase warranties and incomplete records of narcotic medicines.
Drug samples were collected and sent to the Drug Testing laboratory for analysis.
Bilal Yaseen said the supply, sale and documentation of medicines were being closely monitored. Inspections were also being conducted to ensure the presence of qualified personnel and proper maintenance of narcotics registers, in line with the directions of CEO Health Dr. Roheel and Punjab Chief Drug Controller Dr. Faisal.
He added that cases against violators were being referred to the Drug Court and the Secretary of the District Quality Control Board, Kasur, for further proceedings.
