MUZAFFARGARH:A 55-year-old man drowned while swimming in the Chenab River, a rescuer said.
Ghulam Shabir, 55, son of Muhammad Hanif, resident of Patan Sarbana was lost in deep water when was crossing the river yesterday night.
Rescuers started a search operation that succeeded in fishing out the body after an hours-long hectic effort within a radius of 10 kilometers long in the river.
The body was handed over to the heirs.
