SIALKOT: An anti-corruption team arrested an Excise inspector red-handed taking bribe from a man.
It was told that Circle Officer Anti-Corruption Hafizabad Nouman Riaz conducted a raid and arrested Naveed Arshad, an inspector of Excise and Taxation Department, Hafizabad, for taking Rs 5000 bribe from a citizen, and recovered the tainted notes from his possession. The accused had received the amount for conversion of commercial property into residential.
A case has been registered against the accused and further legal proceedings have been initiated against him.
