FAISALABAD:Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has taken drastic action against land grabbers and removed all types of encroachments from Gulfishan Colony and D-Type Colony in addition to retrieving land of a school ground from ‘Qabza Mafia’, here on Tuesday.
Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry in a statement said that the authority had launched a vigorous anti encroachment campaign to retrieve state land from land grabbers who were not only occupying the public land illegally but also create impediments in improvement of economic activities.
He said that the land grabbers erected encroachments by construction ramps and shops in the bazaars of Gulfishan Colony and D-Type Colony and created problems for the residents as well as passersby and shoppers.
The FDA received various complaints against encroachers and used heavy machinery to remove all type of encroachments from both colonies and confiscated their material found on the encroached place.
Meanwhile, the FDA team also retrieved ground of a government school from land grabbers in D-Type Colony and submitted challans in the court of Judicial Magistrate against land grabbers and encroachers, he added.
