DERA ISMAIL KHAN:The drive against power theft and defaulters continues in various parts of Lakki Marwat district.
According to the district administration, Additional Assistant Commissioner Naurang Gohar Ali, along with officials of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and police, conducted an operation on Tuesday in various parts of the district, including Amir Jan Bhatti, Gulan Kala, Sher Kala, and surrounding areas.
During the drive, the inspection team removed direct hooks at several places besides severing connections for non-payment of dues. SDO PESCO Naurang was also instructed to lodge FIRs against defaulters.
The AAC said that a crackdown against the Kunda mafia would continue indiscriminately to prevent losses, and in this regard, no compromise would be made.
The team also urged people to ensure timely payment of their monthly bills to get a smooth power supply and overcome losses the company was facing.
