Lahore: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore arrested two suspects, including a government employee, for their alleged involvement in fraud and corruption.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspects were identified as Tasarruf Hussain and Ghulam Hassan. They were arrested in Lahore and Sheikhupura, respectively.

FIA officials said Tasarruf Hussain, a lineman at the Royal Park LESCO Sub-Division, was arrested while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs50,000. He was reportedly receiving the money in exchange for changing a citizen’s electricity meter.

Meanwhile, Ghulam Hassan was arrested after the Lahore High Court dismissed his pre-arrest bail petition. A case had been registered against him for allegedly selling and storing medicines without a drug sale license and possessing medicines without a warranty.

Further investigations into both cases were underway.
