Flag hoisting ceremonies held at UVAS campuses

LAHORE:Flag hoisting ceremonies were held at all campuses of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) on Sunday to mark the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. The main flag-hoisting ceremony was held at Lahore campus where Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Muhammad Azam along with Registrar Sajjad Hyder hoisted the national flag while faculty members, students, administrative staff and their families attended the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Muhammad Azam congratulated the university employees and students on the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. He highlighted the biography and lifelong struggle of Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for attaining of a separate homeland for Muslims. He urged them to work hard with honesty and dedication for the progress of the country. On the occasion, Sajjad Hyder said: “We must remember the services of our elders who sacrificed their lives for a separate homeland”. “Two nation theories became the basis of Pakistan creation and we thank to Allah Almighty who bestowed us a separate homeland,” he added.
