PESHAWAR:Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and Area Study Centre, University of Peshawar (UoP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for exchange of research oriented and other matters.
The MoU signing ceremony was held in the Area Study Centre wherein both parties signed the agreement.
Besides, Coordinator FPCCI, Sartaj Ahmad Khan, Regional Secretary Engineer Khalid Haider, Chairman, All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA), Minhajuddin, Fazal Elahi, Adnan Jalil, Director Area Study Centre, Shabir Ahmad, professors and teachers a large number of students and businessmen also attended the ceremony.
Under the MoU, FPCCI and Area Study Centre will jointly work for the promotion of trade with Central Asian States.
Speaking on the occasion, former president FPCCI, Haji Ghulam Ali said that besides imparting education, we might also train the students to live life according to the requirements of the modern era.
Director Area Study Centre Shabir Ahmad said that after the end of the war in Afghanistan time is ripe for the promotion of trade relations with the Central Asian States and for this purpose, he said strong relations between industry and academia are essential.
