Governor KP, AJK leadership agree to strengthen trade links

Islamabad: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, held a meeting with Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq Rathore and former Prime Minister AJK Sardar Tanveer Ilyas here on Thursday.

The leaders agreed to play a joint and proactive role in strengthening ties between the business communities of KP and Kashmir.

The meeting emphasized the need to promote closer coordination and cooperation between traders of both regions to enhance economic activity and explore new avenues of mutual trade and investment.

They also termed youth engagement in Kashmir as critically important, stressing that empowering young people through education, entrepreneurship and economic opportunities were essential for sustainable development.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi appreciated Prime Minister Faisal Mushtaq Rathore’s active and effective leadership in a short span of time, acknowledging his efforts toward governance and development in Azad Kashmir.

He extended an invitation to AJK PM to visit KP, aiming to further strengthen links between the party leadership and the business community of KP and Kashmiri leadership.
