SARGODHA:Additional Secretary Universities Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab Shahid Zaman Lak visited Sargodha University, here on Friday.
According to a press release, issued by the Sargodha University, the purpose of the visit was to resolve the technical issues being faced by the university regarding adoption of the Punjab Regularisation of Service Act 2018 and the University Employees Service Statutes.
A meeting was also held regarding the change in university service statuses and regularization of service act, in which Vice-Chancellor Sargodha University Prof Dr. Qaiser Abbas, Shahid Zaman Lak and senior officers of the university administration participated.
In the meeting, a briefing was given on behalf of the university administration on the problems being faced by the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018, on which Secretary HED Universities Shahid Zaman shared his views and suggestions for solving problems.
The secretary also assured his cooperation in solving other problems being faced by the university.
the secretary universities also visited Lincoln Corner and Wazir Agha Library established in the university.
On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Qaiser Abbas told the Additional secretary that Wazir Agha library was taking steps to digitize the library and establish a learning room for students so that students could benefit from books with ease and focus on education and research.
Later, the additional secretary, along with Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Qaiser Abbas, also planted a sapling in the lawns of the University Admin block.
