PESHAWAR:A team of Disaster Management Cell Women University Swabi (WUS) led by Vice Chancellor, Shahana Urooj Kazmi visited flood affected areas of Swat and distributed relief items among victims, said a press release issued here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shahana said that calamity that emanated from climate change has wreaked havoc in the country.
She said that each and every segment of the society should work for the rehabilitation of affected people besides joining hands for a common struggle against climate change.
She urged the affluent to help out people in this need of hour and said that calamity has affected millions and destroyed crops on thousands of acres.
She said that we must realize that people have lost their livelihood and faced with a crisis that is enormous and unimaginable.
