ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Human Rights Khalil George on Thursday emphasised women’s equality, condemning violence as a societal flaw and unequal treatment as a failure of male supremacy.

Speaking at a seminar arranged by Kursaint Lions Club and Global Peace and Harmony London in Pakistan, he conveyed the notion that establishing a society required efforts to eliminate its violent tendencies.

Other speakers emphasized that skilled women deserve opportunities to contribute alongside men in the journey of national development.

They stressed the importance of empowering women to utilize their skills for the country’s progress and urged global governments to share their investments in preventing gender-based violence.
