Islamabad: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Casual Daily Wagers Forum has announced a protest on September 1 over the prolonged delay in regularising 61,000 daily wagers.
Forum president Sajjad Ahmad Parray addressing a press conference in Srinagar warned that the agitation could escalate to hunger strikes and work stoppages if the authorities fails to act.
He said that daily wagers had been waiting for a clear roadmap on regularisation despite repeated assurances from the authorities.
