Lahore: The in-laws took away a newborn baby from the mother immediately after birth.
According to details, a call was received at the Virtual Child Safety Center from Nawaz Sharif Hospital, Multan Road here, reporting the snatching of a newborn baby. The Virtual Center for Child Safety dispatched the police to the scene. Preliminary information indicates that the in-laws of the affected woman had assaulted her and thrown her out of the house. After delivery, they attempted to flee the hospital with the newborn baby.
The Virtual Center for Child Safety and the police promptly took action, and the baby was returned to the affected woman. The in-laws assured the police that they would not harass the woman in the future. The Safe Cities spokesperson stated that women can contact the Virtual Women Police Station by calling 15 and pressing 2. Any missing persons can be reported to the Virtual Child Safety Center through a 15 call.
