ISLAMABAD:Islamabad police have decided to utilize all available resources to maintain peace as well as security within the federal capital and conduct special checks for high vigilance.
A police spokesperson said that efforts are underway to register data, verify identification documents, and conduct thorough searches of individuals entering the high-security zone regularly.
Furthermore, 173 vehicles and motorcyclists were penalized for traffic rule violations at various checkpoints within the high-security zone.
To enforce these measures, the Islamabad Capital Police removed tinted windows and non-standard number plates from 71 vehicles. Additionally, 53 motorcyclists received fines for not wearing helmets and for over-speeding violations.
Stringent instructions have been issued to police officers and officials stationed at high-security zone checkpoints, emphasizing their responsibility to safeguard important public and private properties and foreign embassies within the area.
These officials are also mandated to meticulously record the data of all individuals entering the high-security zone, thoroughly scrutinize identification documents, conduct searches on suspicious vehicles, and maintain a positive and cooperative attitude toward the public.
Citizens are encouraged to support the efforts of the Islamabad Capital Police and report any suspicious activities by dialling “Pucar-15.”
