ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Capital Police (ICP) on Tuesday arrested three members of a notorious snatcher gang in a major crackdown on criminal elements in the capital city.
The gang was involved in numerous snatching activities in various areas of Islamabad, and the police have also recovered three snatched motorbikes, mobile phones, and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a Public Relations Officer said.
The ICP said that the arrests were made following the special directives of ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, who has ordered a crackdown on all criminal elements in the city. The Khanna police team used technical and human resources to track down the gang members, who were identified as Muhammad Aziz, Asad Ullah, and Raheem.
The ICP has urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to the police and to cooperate with the authorities in the fight against crime. The police said that they are committed to ensuring the safety of the lives and property of citizens in Islamabad.
