Isolated to scattered rains, thunderstorms with gusty winds predicted in KP

PESHAWAR:The Provincial Meteorological Center Peshawar on Monday predicted isolated to scattered thunderstorm rains with gusty winds in most of the districts.

These weatherly conditions may prevail in Chitral, Lower & Upper Dir, Malakand, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Torghar, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Hangu, Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, DI Khan, North & South Waziristan districts.

During the last 24 hours, hot humid and partly cloudy weather prevailed over most districts of the province. However, rain-thunderstorms occurred in Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Mardan, Bajaur, Mohmand, Swat and Khyber districts.

Rain recorded in (mm): Mohmand (Mamad Gut) 32, Ghalanai 25, Peshawar (Airport 22, City 13), Bannu & Kohat Airbase 15(each), Bajaur (Khaar) 13, Dir 05, Landi Kotal 03, Malam Jabba, Kalam and Khyber Tirah 02 (each), Takht Bhai Trace.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in centigrade at different stations of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were Peshawar City 35/21, Chitral 34/21, Timergara 35/22, Dir 31/17, Mirkhani 32/20, Kalam 25/11, Drosh 34/23, Saidu Sharif 33/21, Pattan 38/23, Malam Jabba 22/13, Takht Bhai 35/25, Kakul 29/19, Balakot 32/21, Parachinar 26/13, Bannu 37/20, Cherat 27/17, D.I. Khan 38/26.

The highest temperature recorded in the province was 38°c in Pattan and Dera Ismail Khan.
