Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Sunday issued a traffic advisory for the movement of the Sri Lankan cricket team, saying diversions would be placed at different points on Srinagar Highway and traffic could remain slow for a short period.
An ITP official told reporter that motorists were advised to use alternative routes during the team’s movement to avoid inconvenience.
Alternative Routes:
Motorists can use IJP Road, Iran Avenue, Margalla Road and service roads connected with Srinagar Highway.
G-6 and G-7:
Residents of sectors G-6 and G-7 can use Suhrawardy Road and Faisal Avenue.
G-8 and G-9:
Residents of sectors G-8 and G-9 can use G-8 and G-9 service roads and Ninth Avenue.
G-10 and G-11:
Residents of sectors G-10 and G-11 can use G-10 and G-11 service roads.
G-13:
Residents of sector G-13 can use Islamabad Chowk Underpass and G-13 Service Road.
The ITP said its personnel would remain deployed at different points to guide motorists and manage traffic flow during the movement of the cricket team.
