Peshawar: A key connecting bridge over the Kurram River in North Waziristan has been destroyed after being blown up with explosives by saboteurs.
According to local police, unknown saboteurs planted explosive material under the bridge in Shewah Tehsil of North Waziristan late at night. The powerful explosion completely demolished the bridge.
As a result of the destruction, ground connectivity for hundreds of thousands of people with Miran Shah and other areas has been cut off.
Local residents have strongly condemned this heinous and cowardly act, calling for immediate action against those responsible.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
