SIALKOT:Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Monday inaugurated the office of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) government always took important and effective steps for the promotion of the country’s industry and “we will continue this process in the future.”
The vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was to promote the industry so that the country could move forward, Khawaja Asif said. “This is the reason why Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has talked about the charter of economy many times,” he added.
The federal minister said that the political climate kept changing but the wheel of the country’s economy should keep moving and the direction of the country’s economy should be on the right direction, then the country could make progress.
Asif said that after Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) and AirSial, it was also a very important and good initiative of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) that they were moving forward together with NUST, which would benefit both and the country would move forward.
He said, “It is a matter of honor for me that today I have been invited as a special guest in this big event and I think that this relationship between NUST and SCCI will be useful for the entire Sialkot industry.” This would further promote the industry of Sialkot city, he added.
President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Mian Imran Akbar, Senior Vice President (SVP) SCCI Sheikh Zohaib Rafiq Sethi, Vice President (VP) SCCI Qasim Malik, General Manager Cooperative Affairs (NUST) Fiza Maqbool, Director Innovation Commercialization (NUST) Muhammad Anwar Zaheer and others were also present on this occasion.
