Peshawar: The Standing Committee of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Excise and Taxation, chaired by Sajjad Ullah, discussed matters relating to acts, rules and role of excise department.
The meeting among others was attended by provincial minister for excise, Khaleeq-ur-Rehman and members including Abdul Ghani, Muhammad Azam Khan, Muhammad Yamin Khan, Abdul Muneem, Arbab Muhammad Usman, Zahidullah, Tariq Awan and Secretary Excise, Khalid Ilyas.
On the occasion, Director Revenue, Salahuddin briefed the meeting about role of excise department, acts rules, unregistered vehicles and revenue earned through transfer of vehicles.
The Excise minister told the meeting that confiscation of vehicles was ambit of excise department, however all such vehicles were handed over to administration department.
He also informed the meeting about the operational activities of excise department.
