ISLAMABAD:Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, on Sunday emphasized that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) supported peace, stability and development in the province, rejecting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s claims that the people would reject other political parties there.
Speaking to a private TV channel, Muqam also criticised PTI for its failure to take action against terrorism, saying that the people of the province had suffered as a result and that development had been hindered.
The Minister said that, both before and after the imposition of the emergency, large numbers of people attended political gatherings organised by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), highlighted their support for the federal government in resorting peace.
He added that his party had always supported dialogue and negotiations to resolve political disputes and promote development across the country.
