Larkana: Larkana Police arrested 9 accused during various operations against criminal elements.
According to the police statement on Tuesday, Ratodero Police, conducting an operation in the area of Mubarak Shah Dargah Link Road, arrested Aitbar Bhatti and recovered an unlicensed pistol and bullets, and registered a case under the Sindh Arms Act.
Badah Police arrested wanted/absconding accused Saleem Jamali from Dokri Road, and Maashooq Phalphoto, who was selling gutka, from Nasirabad Bypass Road. Sachal Police arrested fugitive accused Tehseen Abro, while drug peddler Gulbahar Memon was also taken into custody. Market Police arrested three wanted accused, Najam, Fida and Soomar Khan, from the Post Office Road area.
Further more, Garelo Police, conducting an operation near Thricha Bridge, arrested gutka seller Saeed Abro and recovered gutka. Further legal proceedings and investigation against the arrested accused are ongoing. Meanwhile, SSP Larkana heard the problems of citizens, traders, social and religious leaders, media representatives, applicants and complainants in his office and issued orders to concerned officers for immediate on-the-spot resolution of the issues. Also, Larkana Police arrested 9 accused during operations against criminal elements, drug peddlers, absconders and fugitive accused.
SSP Larkana appealed to citizens to provide information to the police about the buying and selling, use or other social evils related to drugs in their areas so that timely and effective action can be taken. He said that the information provided will be given importance, the name of the informing citizen will be kept confidential, and the citizen providing correct information will also be given a reasonable reward.
In addition, SSP Larkana Azhar Khan, taking notice of the firing incident on Shahrah-e-Raza Shah, issued orders to set up blockades and arrest the involved accused soon at all costs. According to police, the initial report of the relevant SHO of Civil Lines Police Station described the incident as a result of personal enmity. As a result of the firing, 30-year-old Fida Hussain Balidi was killed, who was an employee at a hospital.
According to initial investigation, the deceased had gone on seven days’ leave due to some personal issue, and the incident occurred after his return. Police have conducted the post-mortem of the deceased and started checking CCTV footage of the crime scene and collecting other evidence. Heavy police force has been deployed at the crime scene and on the entry and exit routes of the city. Police officials said that the accused involved in the incident will soon be brought under the law.
