Lahore:The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday imposed penalties on three judicial officers on various charges, including corruption.
According to a notification, the LHC imposed the major penalty of removal from service on Civil Judge Shazia Parveen after she was found guilty of inefficiency and misconduct.
The LHC also imposed the major penalty of reduction to a lower stage in the pay scale by four stages for a period of three years on Civil Judge Shahbaz Hassan after he was found guilty of misconduct, inefficiency, and corruption.
The major penalty of censure was imposed on Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdullah Usman after he was found guilty of misconduct and inefficiency, it added.
The notification further stated that the action was taken against the officers under the Punjab Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 1999, and the penalties were imposed after due process of law.
