Karachi: Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that during his remaining tenure, major projects such as a new canal from Hub Dam, the completion of the K4 water supply project, and the development of Bakhtiyari Youth Center along with other projects would be accomplished.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference held at the head office of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation on Monday.
On this occasion, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Parliamentary Leader in the City Council Karamullah Waqasi, Deputy Parliamentary Leader Dil Muhammad, Jamman Darwan, and other elected representatives were also present on this occasion.
The Mayor Karachi also mentioned the mismanagement and excessive recruitments in municipal institutions under previous administrations and criticized the political parties for focusing on press conferences rather than solving the city’s real problems.
He expressed his gratitude for the praise of his mother and vowed to honor her legacy.
He stated that the focus should remain on development rather than political point-scoring. The future, he assured, would be better for Karachi.
