Peshawar: A man killed his 16-year-old daughter and a 23-year-old neighbor in Machni Gate area here, police said on Wednesday.

According to police, the incident occurred in Sadiqabad area, where the suspect armed with a Kalashnikov entered a hujra and opened fire on his daughter and the young man before fleeing the scene.

The victims were identified as 23-year-old Yousaf, son of Saleem and a 16-year-old girl identified as daughter of Jangrez.

Police said the two victims were neighbors

Muhammad Saleem, the father of Yousaf, said that while looking for Yousaf, he went to the roof of the house and heard noises. He later reached Jangrez’s hujra, where he allegedly found the suspect with weapons and took his mobile phone.

Police said the case has been registered and the bodies were shifted to hospital, while police have launched an investigation into the incident.
