Sargodha: A meeting chaired by Additional Commissioner Coordination Ashfaq-ur-Rehman was held here to review issues related to hills leased out by the Mines and Minerals Department in Chak No. 100/NB, Tehsil and District Sargodha. The meeting examined in detail an application submitted by residents of Chak No 99/NB and the issues being faced by the local population in connection with the leased hills.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Sargodha, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Director Agriculture Extension, Deputy Director Water Management, Executive Engineers of the Irrigation and Drainage departments, Assistant Commissioner Sargodha, SDO Mines and other relevant officials.
Additional Commissioner Coordination Ashfaq-ur-Rehman directed the concerned officers to examine all aspects of the matter on legal, administrative and technical grounds while taking into consideration the concerns of the local residents.
He stressed that complete compliance with rules and regulations must be ensured in the use of government land and resources, adding that any decision should be made strictly on merit after thorough verification of the facts.
The Additional Commissioner also directed the concerned departments to conduct a comprehensive review through mutual coordination and submit practicable recommendations.
