Lahore: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has termed Sohail Afridi’s long march a ‘short-term march,’ alleging that it serves neither the interests of PTI’s founder nor those of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
In a statement on Friday, Azma Bokhari said terrorism continued in KP while Afridi remained atop a container. She alleged that the march is being held in support of terrorist organisations.
She stated that security forces are sacrificing their lives to protect the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), yet their sacrifices are being mocked. She added that KP remains one of the provinces hardest hit by terrorism, and the immense contributions of the police and the public in this fight can never be forgotten.
The minister stated that PTI’s senior leadership has fallen hostage to a ‘container politician.’ Asserting that the people of KP are actively demanding freedom from PTI and its allies; she further alleged that the party is relying on fabricated, AI-generated social media content to cover up its widespread public rejection.
