MULTAN: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture (MNSUA) and Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) regarding the establishment of an urban forest here on Monday.
MNSUA VC, Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad Rajwana, and Muhammad Tayyab, Regional Chief of OGDCL, signed the memorandum.
Under the agreement, a Miyawaki forest will be established at the varsity for which OGDCL, under its corporate social responsibility, will also provide funding of Rs one million.
On this occasion, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad Rajwana appreciated OGDCL’s efforts and pledged to undertake more projects like this in the future. He further stated that projects like Miyawaki forests can help mitigate issues like climate change.
Abdul Rahim, Social Welfare Officer, Muhammad Rafiq Farooqi, Dr. Abid Hussain, and Dr. Maqbool Ali were also present at the occasion.
