Sargodha: Mobile Police Station Service has been formally launched in district to provide all basic police-related facilities to citizens at their doorstep.
According to a spokesperson here on Sunday, District Police Officer Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem inaugurated the Blue Van Service. On this occasion, he conducted a detailed inspection of the van, and issued necessary instructions to the modern online systems, counters and staff on duty.
The Mobile Police Station is equipped with the latest IT systems, which include FIR registration application, online e-tagging, missing reports, registration of tenants and employees, character certificate and criminal record verification, issuance of learner license, driving licenses etc. The process of license renewal, duplicate license and issuance of international driving license will be ensured, in addition, a female police officer will be present in the van at all times to guide and help in sensitive matters (harassment, domestic violence and abuse).
In this regard, DPO Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem says that Punjab Police is committed to creating convenience for the citizens. He said that through this service, not only will the residents of remote areas and senior citizens save time and money, but the relationship of trust between the public and the police will be further strengthened. He said that this journey of modern technology and public service will be expanded throughout the district so that the best and most transparent policing can be established.
A regular schedule of this service will be issued on a daily basis in different dense and remote areas of the city so that maximum citizens can benefit from this facility.
